Cruising the Blanchard Poker Run & Fun - Hosted by Greenspace Development Committee and Ottawa K of C
The Greenspace Development Committee and Ottawa K of C are hosting the Cruising the Blanchard Poker Run & Fun on August 2, 2025.
Registration for the Poker Run starts at 9:30am at the Ottawa Reservoir Boat Launch. Registration is $20/person. This price includes all you can eat hamburgers/hotdogs, snacks and drinks for lunch at Arrowhead Park. Cash prizes for the Poker Run!
Participants will be on the water at 10am.
From 12pm-2pm lunch will be available at Arrowhead Park.
Non-Poker Run participants are invited to join us for lunch. Hamburgers will be $4 and everything else will be $1 each.
We are encouraging participants to find unique trash items again this year! Help make our river a little bit cleaner, while having a bit of fun at the same time.
Ottawa Police Department's National Night Out
National Night Out in Ottawa, Ohio, is an annual community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. It's organized by the Ottawa Police Department and takes place on Tuesday, August 5th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This year, they are partnering with Pathways Counseling Center for their Overdose Awareness and Recovery Celebration.
Free kids activities, including touch-a-truck, swimming, and food!

Chair-Ity Auction
Save the Date for Go Ottawa’s first every Chair-ity Auction, where we will auction off unique, artistic chairs created by community members to help with Go Ottawa’s revitalization efforts!
Chairs are currently being transformed, and we will be collecting them on August 13, 2025. They will be on display at local establishments until 9/9/25. List of venues still being finalized. The fan favorite chairs will all be live auctioned on September 11 at the Schroeder Center for Arts. The rest of the chairs will be part of a silent auction!

“House Call” site visits will be made at up to 10 properties on the morning of June 26. If
you would like your historic commercial building, church, public building or home to be one
of the site visits, you may do so online at building-doctor.org or 614-298-2000. Attendance
at the June 25 evening program is required in order to have a site visit.
The local host for the program is the Putnam County CIC, questions may be directed to
419-523-5595.
The Building Doctor is a program of the State Historic Preservation Office of the Ohio
History Connection.
PCCIC is thrilled to be working with Putnam County native Andy Verhoff, Ohio History Fund
and Outreach Manager for SHPO/Ohio History Connection, to bring the program to the

Go Ottawa at National Main Street Now Conference
We are incredibly excited to be sharing our story about Go Ottawa, along with Yard & Co, at this years National Main Street Now Conference. From inspiring plenaries and immersive mobile workshops to engaging education sessions and interactive activities, the Main Street Now 2025 schedule features 100+ opportunities for local leaders to strengthen networks, gain new skills, and find solutions to issues impacting their communities. Meet new people and connect with colleagues from across the Main Street network and tap into the expertise of your peers, industry professionals, and supporters.
We will be presenting on Monday of the conference (session description below), and then will be spending the rest of the time learning from others around the country doing similar work in the communities they love.
Session Description: Strategies and action plans are great and necessary, but are you creating a movement of support for your program’s work? Learn how Ottawa, Ohio, created a movement in the community that feels bigger than its size of 5,000 people and helped its new Main Street program come out the gate strong. Along the way, Go Ottawa’s early supporters became not only its biggest champions but also a source of self-reliant redevelopment confidence that is transforming downtown Ottawa.
